The very first International Champion Bull was MN Mr. Red Mayro 257/2. He was bred by Bar M Ranch of Covington, Louisiana. Bar M Ranch showed the bull to his first championship in 1980 when he was National Champion. The bull was purchased by V8, who owned him when he won the first International Championship in Houston. Looking back, this sire has been used in crossbreeding programs to produce Braford and Simbrah cattle to name a couple. As a Multiple Trait Leading sire he ranks in the top 6% for DOC, the top 12% for CWT, the top 11% for YW, the top 18% for Milk and the top 25% for WW.
