Slick-Gator Lone Ranger is one of the founder breeds of the modern slick Holstein. He contains one copy of a gene that causes short hair coat. Daughters of Lone Ranger inheriting the gene have superior resistance to heat stress. Because he is heterozygous, 1/2 of his offspring will have the slick hair coat. He is a short-stature bull and is very high for daughter pregnancy rate.
